Person to Person Transfers (P2P)

Are you looking for a safe, easy way to pay without having to give your bank information to a third-party app? Look no further than GMFCU’s P2P Feature!

A person to person transfer (P2P) allows you to send money to almost anyone, anywhere using only their email address or a mobile number. So whether you need to pay your friend back for concert tickets or your sister for mom’s birthday present, you can use P2P without having to write a check or go to an ATM.

Here’s how it works:

  • Send money to the recipient’s email address or mobile phone number from your GMFCU Checking Account*
  • They will receive notification of the payment via email or text message
  • The money will be deposited into their account of choice as soon as they answer the security question you provide

NEW! Multi-Factor Authentication beginning 11/1/2023: In order to keep your account even safer, we have activated Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to verify your identity before sending a payment! When using P2P, you will be asked to verify your identity using a code either texted or emailed to you. To make sure your phone and email address are up to date, please visit your settings in Home Banking or the Mobile App or call us at 336-373-2090.

To access P2P on the GMFCU Mobile App

  • Choose “Move Money” from the bottom menu
  • Select “Pay Anyone”
  • Follow the prompts

To access P2P in Home Banking

  • Choose “Pay & Transfer” from the top menu
  • Select “Pay Anyone”
  • Follow the prompts
