GMFCU Board of Directors 2022 Candidate Bio

Gregory L. Jenkins, II (Incumbent)

I have had the honor and privilege of serving on the GMFCU board for the past 15 years. Over this period of time, GMFCU has grown in its reach to the community through donations, scholarships, and financial education seminars; expanded its product and service offerings, growing from $25 million in assets to $70 million in assets; and successfully navigated through many financial market hardships and the COVID pandemic. I have advocated for GMFCU and the credit union industry on multiple “Hike the Hill” events in Washington, DC and presented on the importance of credit unions (especially small credit unions) at several national conferences.

I have been able to utilize my 20+ years of governmental accounting experience to help safeguard the Credit Union’s assets and financial stability. Educationally, I hold a BA in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in International Business from Georgia Southern University. My belief in the necessity of the Credit Union movement helps me continue to ensure GMFCU is uniquely positioned to have a great impact on both the Triad community and the state of North Carolina.
