Are you a teen ages 15-19 and you’re interested in learning about Financial Literacy basics? We’ve got the workshop for you!

When: Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Where: Soabar Branch (2200 Soabar St., Greensboro)

  • Difference between savings & checking
    • What a check looks like
    • How to balance a checking account
    • Ways to detect a fake check
    • Checks vs. Debit Card vs. Credit Cards
  • Budgeting Basics
    • Setting Goals
    • Keeping Track
    • Wants vs Needs
  • Good Debt vs Bad Debt
    • What you need to set yourself up for success

Financial Literacy for Teens

Are you 15-19 years old?(Required)
Are you or your parent a member of GMFCU?(Required)
Teen or Parent/Guardian must be a member to attend the class.
This class is limited to 8 spaces. To keep those spaces for as many attendees as possible, we are asking that teens bring themselves or parents make arrangements to drop off/pick up. This class starts at 2 pm and will last approximately 1 hour.(Required)
Please note, we may not be able to accommodate all parents who would like to stay due to space. Unreserved spaces will be given to parents on a first come/first serve basis.
