2020-2021 Board of Directors Candidate Biographies

Brent P. Gerald (Incumbent)—Nominee

My name is Brent Gerald. It has been my pleasure to serve on the Board of Directors for the past 3 years. I have taken my role as a director seriously. I have attended training, and currently serve on the Supervisory Committee. I have represented the interest and values that are important to you, the member. I will continue to make sure that GMFCU is the financial institution that builds a lifelong relationship one member at a time and provides services to assist you through your financial life cycle. Thank you for allowing me to serve as a board member for the past 3 years. I am asking for your support to serve another term as a member of the GMFCU Board of Directors.

Gloria Gray (Incumbent)—Nominee

I would love to continue to serve on the GMFCU Board of Directors. I have been a member since 2000 and enjoy being a part of a growing organization.

I am a Human Resources Coordinator holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration as well as experience in the banking industry.

It would be an honor to continue to serve and grow as a member of the GMFCU Board of Directors. Thank you.

Rosa McDougal (Incumbent)—Nominee

I am recently retired from The City of Greensboro as an HR/Medical Services Professional. My previous financial experience with Piedmont Advantage Credit Union and Wachovia Bank has been a great asset with my work on the Board. I’ve been a member of our Credit Union since 2001 and I currently serve as your Secretary Treasurer. I believe in the Credit Union and would appreciate your vote.

Elizabeth C. Ward—Nominee

I am uniquely qualified to serve as a member of the Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union (GMFCU) Board of Directors because of my desire in this time of my life to serve my community. I have been a member of the Credit Union in good standing for 33 years and I am a retiree of 18 years after my final paid employment with the City of Greensboro, Local Ordinance Enforcement: Housing Secretary. I have experience in numerous aspects of life giving me a well-rounded perspective on issues concerning many types of people and processes.

I was employed as a service worker in Cone Hospital and a CNA at Evergreen Nursing Home. I’ve been a Guilford County Eligibility Specialist in the Heating Energy Program, a Bus Driver for the Guilford County School System, a cashier at the UNC-G Soda Shop, and a Manager at KAYO Oil Company Gas Station. I volunteered my time and talents with the Guilford County Child Advocacy program, the Urban Ministry and Welfare Reform Liaison Project as well as completed an Income Tax preparation course to assist individuals with their Income Tax Returns. My love for theater and sewing gave me the opportunity to offer my talents at NC A&T University’s Theater Department and Barn Dinner Theater as a Costume Seamstress. I am a mother of 5 adult children, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother.

As you can see, I have varying experiences, a wealth of local community history and knowledge, and the time which makes me uniquely qualified to serve as a GMFCU Board of Directors Member.
