As a valued member of Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union, we wanted to take a moment to address a very important transition that we will be entering into in the coming months.
Did you know? Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union and the City of Greensboro have been business partners for 82 years. This partnership will continue, but it is changing.
What is changing? GMFCU has always been an independent entity with support from the City of Greensboro and partnered with the City to provide Human Resources support. Our growth and expansion in the past decade has given us the financial strength and stability to develop our own HR department.
What does this mean for you? As a member of GMFCU, we want you to see where your credit union is headed. We are financially sound and are looking forward to continuing to serve you for all your financial needs. You can expect no interruption in service during this transition. All members will still have access to the great products and services we currently offer and we will continue to grow and invest in your credit union and the Greensboro community.
What if you’re a City employee? The City of Greensboro will remain an active Select Employee Group of GMFCU. City of Greensboro current, future, and retired employees as well as immediate family members will still be eligible for membership at GMFCU. The City of Greensboro was our first ever Select Employee Group and has been for 82 years. We will continue to proudly serve City employees for years to come.
We are truly excited for what the future holds for GMFCU and for you as our members. If you have any questions concerning this change, please reach out to Heather Lyons at email@example.com or 336-433-7286.
